From his early dreams of hosting a music video show to building a movement that helps students succeed beyond graduation, Marc Supreme’s career path has been anything but linear.
After navigating setbacks in L.A. and Atlanta trying to break into the entertainment industry, Marc got into higher ed. He began working as an admissions counselor for his alma mater Southern Illinois University-Carbondale then Northern Illinois University. When the pandemic hit, he turned to writing a book as a means for getting information out to help students navigate their post-secondary options.
“D@mn, I Graduate in May!” is a literary mixtape — raw, real, easy to read and filled with insights most students won’t hear in the classroom. And it’s grown into so much more: a curriculum, college and career conference, scholarship program and a true catalyst for change.
Marc shares how his journey shaped the DIGIM platform, how he brings people together and why he believes it’s not who you know, it’s who knows you. If you’re passionate about mentorship, community and the power of showing up, this one’s for you.
“t’s not what you know. It’s not even who you know, it’s who knows you … we’ve all had opportunities that we’ve gotten that nobody else got just because we knew somebody … networking is important.”
